Grottaglie is one of the most authentic places to visit in Puglia. Joining our walking guided tour you will discover and experience daily life moments that animate this small village.
Grottaglie is famous all over the world as the ceramics city. Here, in fact, the ancient pottery tradition, handed down through the centuries, shows many visitors its inimitable pieces in a special district of the city.
We are talking about the famous “ceramic district”, entirely dedicated to the artisan shops, cultural and artistic heritage of Puglia.
Walking through the historic district charming alleys, we will enjoy its most hidden and characteristic views, and than move to get to know, together with great ceramic masters, the excellence of craftsmanship in Puglia.
We will then visit three popular ceramic shops, with different styles and stories. To complete this unique experience, you will have the possibility to wear a smock, sit in front a real potter’s wheel and create with your own hands, starting from the clay and following the advices of a master, a keepsake that you’ll take with you at the end of the day.
