רז אוחיוןwe had a great time with Marco at Masseria Le Pianelle during our “dairyman for a day” cheese making experience. the farm is in a stunning area and we loved our tour of the farm and learning about its operation. but the best part was learning how to make mozzarella with the charming, kind, generous and funny young cheese,asker, Umberto. he was patient with our clumsy attempts, and the finished products: fior di latte, nodini, stracciatella, and burrata were delicious. this was followed by tasting of other local products, all produced at the farm, which made a lovely lunch (plus we took the leftovers of our very generous spread to enjoy in later meals at our lodgings). Marco is knowledgeable, professional and personable —we highly recommend booking one of the experiences that he offers!

Io e la mia compagna abbiamo deciso di trascorrere una mattina in masseria, provando l’esperienza da casaro presso una masseria a Martina Franca.

franco palmiottoWe were a three-generational family taking part in the tour/class, and Marco and Umberto did a fabulous job engaging all of us - from toddlers to grandparents. The tour of the farm was fun for the little ones; Marco was very knowledgeable and did a great job translating; Umberto was a skilled cheese maker and teacher; and the wine, cheese and meat tasting made for a perfect ending. We highly recommend this experience.

The day was an absolute delight and we will certainly be booking another experience with Marco the next time we visit Puglia. Marco knew so much about the history of the area and was such a great host. The workers at the farm were extremely friendly and the food afterwards was delicious.
